Fun on the boat

Oh my gosh, we laughed so hard when we saw how Brody's life jacket fit him...I couldn't help but snap some photos. The other photos were taken on Snake island...I will have to scrapbook these soon!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Mini Album photos (edited 6/15)

(edited) after having 3 people get the kit (rather than come for the actual class) for my Father's Day album I thought I would post the photos of the mini album here instead of including 17 photos with the directions!

Father's Day Mini album

Have you made your hubby a father's day present yet? Well, if you haven't... on Saturday, June 14th (the day before Father's Day) I will be teaching this class at K2 from 1 till 3. We will be using a Basic Grey paper line along with some embellishments from Basic Grey, Creative Imaginations, Hambly transparencies, Tim Holtz (crackle paint) and Autumn Leaves journaling stamps!
You will need to bring 10 2"x2" sepia photographs as well as some brown ink and a brown pen for journaling.
This little album turned out so cute...I am going to have to make one for my dad too!

What a mess...

...don't you find something so adorable about a baby that is a complete mess. Brody is getting to the stage where he wants to feed himself. He watched me give Riley a pudding after dinner the other night and so of course he wanted one....and the above picts were the results of that!!! So cute.

Hanging out

I am not sure what made Riley decide the back of our chair in the family room was going to be "the spot" to drink his shake but he seemed comfy.
Something so everyday...but yet a memory you don't want to forget!

Date Night

We had so much fun.... Sean and I went to Ceviche for dinner last Saturday night. We went to the roof top bar for a drink while we waited for our table. Even though the temp was 86 degrees it was very enjoyable, there was a great breeze...overlooking the Sarasota Bay. Then we were seated on the first floor and had a delicious meal! We shared salmon ceviche, a warm goat cheese, a filet with mushrooms and a duck/pear salad with candied walnuts...yummm. After dinner we drove out to the Haye Loft (the 2nd floor of Euphemia Haye) and had coffee and dessert. It was such a nice evening and I highly recommend both places!!

Hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Day weekend!

A big catch

A big bass that Sean and Riley caught the other night. Sean bought Riley a new pole and they were testing it out...I guess it worked great! I know it brings Sean great joy that Riley loves to fish as much as he does!

A scary catch

Sean was fishing off our dock when he caught this alligator. It was over three feet long. He tried to get it into a cooler and take it to Oscar Sherrer State Park, but it snapped the line when he was pulling it up onto the dock. Yikes! Hopefully we will never see it again.

Hundsader Farm

A goat laying in the sun on the roof of his home.
Brody and Pop Pop

A cool antique scale.
This is the little antique store/ ice cream shop...so quaint.
One morning last week after droping Riley off at school, Dad, Brody and I drove out to Hundsader Farms. I have not been out there for a couple of years now. Each time I have been there was for the fall festival with thousands of people. It was really nice to enjoy the farm, the little antique store, the play ground and the petting zoo. We had the whole place to ourselves. Not to mention the veggies we came home with were absolutely delish.

1st Annual Nokomis Fishing Tournament

What a blast watching Riley and Gavin "catch" (Sean and Travis would cast and hook the fish and the boys would reel them in) one fish after another. In the two hours, both boys caught 7 or 8 fish each. I am not sure if they had more fun catching fish or playing in the sand and water. I do know that they were exhausted when it was over. I was so glad that Brody was feeling better and we were able to go out to the beach and watch and take some picts!
Have a great Saturday.
