Jungle Gardens

We took a family excursion to Jungle Gardens today! Riley had so much fun seeing all the animals: birds, monkeys, flamingos (they were Sean and his favorite), alligators, snakes...
It was such a fun morning with my two boys.

HIVES!!!

Riley woke up from his nap on Tuesday afternoon October 24th with these hives all over his legs. He is highly allergic to peanuts so I went back through all the foods he ate that day and still couldn't figure it out. Thank God for Dr Karen Hamad!!!! She was able to see him and get him some medicine to help with the hives and swelling. By the next morning all the hives were gone!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month...

...so in honor of that, the woman of K2 had a breast cancer crop on Friday Oct 20th and a portion of the proceeds went to our local Susan G. Komen foundation. The design team was asked to make a LO that represents the Breast Cancer Foundation, TFL.

My 31st Birthday

...was filled with lots of activity and fun. It actually started on Friday when my girlfriend Tomi had a luncheon at her house with all my girlfriends. She baked me a 2 layer chocolate cake filled with strawberries and covered with strawberry icing and chocolate sprinkles. I got a great clock mug, a cool ring, the book "Living out Loud" that I have been wanting for a long time, and a gift certificate. It was such a fun afternoon. THANKS Tomi for hosting it (and my mug- which I love)and thanks to Elena, Ashley and Meghan for the great gifts!
Saturday morning , I woke to a handmade birthday card from Sean and Riley... they actually dug through my supplies and made me the sweetest card, a great way to start the day!!!
Later that morning I taught a fun ATC class at K2. That afternoon we went to my in-laws to get the cousins together to play. Then Mariann made a wonderful dinner and an ice box cake for me. After dinner we went to the beach to hear the drums...too fun to watch Riley and Kayla listen and play along.
The beautiful flowers are from Gail- Thank You so much!

Rhonna -Autumn Leaves Paper

I had so much fun making these 2 LO's. I just loved the Rhonna papers, the Autmn Leaves and Heidi Swapp stamps, the glitter glue and the Zig Brushable pens...
I wanted Riley to remember the snacks that he liked when he was around 2 years old, that is what prompted my first LO.
In the second LO Riley loves playing with Sean's old cell phone. A couple of months ago I caught him playing with it and pretend talking on it... it was so cute. I just got around to scrapping it though.

Elsie Challenge #5

I am cheating a little on this challenge... I did this LO the other night, but I "lifted" the idea from another page. I took the flower and folded it in half, then folded it again and stapled it in place. There is a Heidi Swap masked tag that goes with this page, but it is not shown.

I have another idea I want to do for this challenge but I had to do paperwork all day today. I am scrappin tomorrow and will post it when I am done with it.

Make sure to check out Tammy's http://trackoflight.typepad.com/ blog and see her awesome take on the challenge!

Check out Kim's http://itsallaboutme.typepad.com/ blog in a day or two... she just got back from Memory Trends and is going to work on her challenges this week.

P.S. Remember if you want to join us each week just leave me a comment and we will include you next week. All we ask is that you link to each of our blogs in your post for the challenge day!
(Which we are trying to do on Tuesdays)

P.S.S. This is a sneak peak of one of the pages in the "she" album K2 is offering the night of the She Party in November for 45.00. It includes a beautiful 8x8 album and supplies to complete 6 pages all about YOU!!! Go and check it out at the store.

Our first trip to the ER

This was the worst way to spend New Years Eve last year. Riley pulled our wooden garbage can over on his big toe. He squoshed it like a grape... the surgeon had to wait a couple of days for the swelling to go down so he could perform surgery. So that is why he had to cast his foot and leg for a couple of days!

My Sleeping Beauty

I took this photo of Riley in August, but just scrapped it the other day! That afternoon he did not take a nap, but played in his room... well later that evening during dinner he fell asleep. I just couldn't resist taking a photo of him!

I went to create a new post today and saw that my banner is missing!! What the heck is going on. I tried to figure out what was wrong, but I am not that technical. Yikes.
Does anyone know what could have happened? If you do please leave me a comment.

Elsie Challenge #3

I am a total slacker!!!
I didn't post for week 2, but I have a good excuse! (ha ha)
I actually did it a couple of weeks ago... I know that is cheating but... here is the link when I posted it. http://nikkicleary.blogspot.com/2006/07/circa-1978-elsie-flannigans-challenge.html

Kim (my Elsie challenge partner) came over this morning and we both worked on our LO's for this weeks challenge!
Ok, here is week 3 challenge...ribbon border! I just love how this LO turned out... I have been wanting to do a LO that included lots of circles and when I came across this photo with the four of us lying in a circle it was perfect! TFL!

2 LO's I completed today...

I have been working on Riley's album the last couple of months or so, in hopes to get it up to date by the time the baby is born. I have about 30 LO's left to do... yikes I better get busy! The second LO also is my fourth Elsie challenge... make your own chipboard! I stamped (Autumn Leaves) arrows on PP adhered them to chipboard, then I cut them out. TFL!

PS. Kim, am I allowed to do that? Post a challenge LO before the week it is due?
