Who needs a 20,000.00 pool when you can have just as much fun in a 5 dollar pool from Wal-mart. I love to sit in the backyard with my fav scrapbooking mags and soak up some sun while the boys splish and splash and enjoy the water. TFL
Instead of boring you with a story about my last date night with Sean, I thought I would create a digi LO using picts from the evening. (Digi kit "Tropical Cocktail" found at www.dragonflairestudios.com)
...in my entry, with the mirror I found.
On the way to my mom's house last Sunday I saw a sign for a garage sale. I slowed down and from the road I could see this cute piece of furniture...I went and checked it out. I could visualize it refinished by my front door. (I have been trying to replace the piece that currently sits there) I drove to my mom's, dropped the boys off and took my mom back with me to look at it again. I offered her $15.00 for it (she was asking 20.00) because the face on the top drawer was a little off, and she agreed. We took it back to my mom's where we refinished it by painting, distressing and sealing it. Normally, we would not find a piece of furniture and refinish it the same day, but my mom and dad had just refinished a piece for their home the day before, so we had all the supplies. Later that afternoon after running an errand I saw another garage sale sign so I pulled over and asked if they had a mirror (knowing I would need one for above my piece) and the woman said yes!! She showed me with her hands the approx size and that she wanted 10.00 for it. I told her I was interested in seeing it. She took me in and after I stood there a minute looking at it (wondering if the size would work) she said, "I will take 8.00 for it! I said, "sold"! It fits perfectly by my front entry and I just love it! What an amazing 23.00 makeover, huh?!!
My latest digi LO's...I learned how to make that cool photo block watching one of Jessica Sprague's tutorials on creating a trapezoidal photo block...the rest of the supplies on "Starfish Fun" are from one of her kits, and the above LO is a mix of products from multiple places! TFL

..after starting my new online digi class with Jessica Sprague I realized I needed a refresher. I spent a couple of hours yesterday re watching and re making all the LO's from her first course.

On Good Friday we hopped in my in-laws RV and drove over to Boca Raton to visit family. Once we arrived, we headed to this amazing place in Delray Beach called "The Boys Farmers Market" (this is a must stop every time we head to the east coast). The have an amazing selection of cheeses (with samples everywhere), delectable desserts at the bakery (picture a New York bakery selection!!), fruits and veggies everywhere (with someone walking around cutting different fruits up and allowing you to sample them), then they have a fish counter, meat counter and deli counter... Part of the atmosphere of The Boys you have to fight crowds, the aisles are narrow, the parking sucks, so when you make it inside...put on your racing helmets, hold on to your cart for dear life and have FUN! A few months ago they opened "The Girls" a half a block down the street. You walk into this store front that looks like an old county store stocked to the ceiling with jams, jellies, candy.... then you walk out the back door and OMG is all I can say! Acres upon acres of hydroponically grown fruits and veggies. You can either pick your own or walk to the back where they have a pre picked waiting for you to buy. It is fun for the whole family, they have petting animals, birds... We arrived back at my sister-in-laws house just in time for dinner, baths and bedtime.

Come and join me at K2 the second Saturday in April for this fun canvas wall hanging we will be creating for your home.
