In the blink on a eye...

a special life can be taken from you. I am so sad. I got a call saying that my dear Grandma Gladys passed away this morning. She had been in the hospital the last couple of days and I just spoke with her on the phone the night before last. She sounded good, but she told me that she was ready...I guess her body agreed with her. I miss you so much Grandma and can't wait for the day that I see you in heaven. Love you.

A good ending to a crazy week...

...this started as any normal week would. THEN, Riley got sick with a severe head cold that needed antibiotics to clear up. Brody decided it would be a good week to cut in 4 teeth, and then a couple days later Sean got sick! (the picture below shows how Sean got sick-LOL)By Saturday I was in need for a night out. We had a weddding we were going to and I was very excited. The wedding was at the Manasota Beach Club in Englewood. What an amazing place. I can't wait to go back just to spend the night there. Picture a couple of 1950's beach bungalows, surrounded by oak trees, a few short steps from the beach. The wedding was so much fun, I danced with Lori the whole night while Sean and Ryan sat there laughing at us. Great fun. Tired and exhausted today I hung out at home with the boys, and now I am going to dinner for my birthday with Tomi and Elena....like I said before...a perfect ending to a crazy week.

Today is

1. Monday, my favorite day of the week.
2. the day I start my list of "things to do" for the week.
3. laundry day.
4. crazy around here...Brody is cutting in 3 teeth (he cut in one yesterday too!) poor guy.
5. the day I got to sign up for "Now You're Rockin with Photoshop" class with Jessica Sprague- Yipee...I am so excited to continue my journey of learning photoshop.
6. K2 weekly blog challenge.... and here goes. My challenge for you this week is to take 3 coordinating papers and at least one matching embellishment and make a LO and a card with them. Here are mine. I used the new Tinkering Ink papers and stickers...LOVE them!!!
Don't forget, when you complete the challenge go into the store and put your name into the K2 weekly challenge jar (and if you are from out of town,call the store and have them put your name and info in for you 941-926-1744)...there will be a great prize, when we pull a name in December!! Cute as a "button"

My friend Jocie sent me an e-mail last week showing me the cutest etsy store item...anyway, she knew it would be right up my alley and boy was she right!! So instead of buying I decided to make them. Look at how cute my button flowers turned out!! Don't know if you can see, but the stems are stuck into my big jar of buttons.

Piggy Tales

I received my first kit from Paper Jam Studios (see the link on my sidebar) on Monday and it was "jam packed" with goodies from Piggy Tales. The 2 LO's are some of my fav's I have made in a while. The rub on's are amazing-I love them!!! They also came out with this new product called "barn doors" which are cardboard flaps to add dimension to your pages, very cool. All the above items are made with the "little miss muffett" line of papers, rub ons, ribbon, and letter/number stickers.

Everyday Life

Does everyone have the pile of papers that you push from one spot to another, then another...??
My pile is getting higher and higher so I decided that today is the day that I find all these papers a proper home or they go in the garbage!
Our island is filled with the contents of our hall bathroom as well...Sean is remodeling it, and it looks great! (I will post picts of the bathroom when it is completed!)
Lots of things to do today...laundry, play with the boys, organize, make some cards for WCMD etc...i am off!

K2 blog Challenge

Good Morning. Are you ready for another challenge?? My challenge for you this week has THREE parts.

1. Use at least 3 patterned papers on your LO.

2. Cut at least one shape out of your paper (circle, star etc...)

3. Ink the edges of all your papers (if you have never done this, wait till you see the dimension it adds to your page!!

The papers, brads, and tags are part of the new SEI dog line (which of course they have at K2 :))

Have fun. (You can scraplift my LO if you don't want to think about the actual design of the page...It will be at the store displayed near this SEI line of papers)
