My little Batman

For the past 6 months or so, Brody is all about Super Heros...especially Batman and Darth Vader! We bought his Halloween costume about 3 weeks early and he wore at least some part of it (ie: cape, mask, glove) every day leading up to Halloween. He was so funny, acting the part when he thought no one was listening...but when you sang the Batman theme song.."da na na na na na na, da na na na na na na, Bat Maaaan" he ran the other way acting embarrassed...it was hilarious! Memories I don't ever want to forget!

Date night...

Riley is learning to love reading as much as me... We had a mommy, son date night at 2 different book stores last week. We had so much fun looking at books, reading in the big comfy chairs and then picking one special book out in reward for reading 10 books the last week. I look forward to many more book store "date nights" to celebrate our love of reading.

What a goofy girl...

Charlotte found these goggles in my studio the other day and wanted to try them on. She got them on all by herself...and if I have to say, it was quite funny. She loves being by me, so where ever I am stationed at that moment, she will find something to play with.

Maya Road strawberry chipboard album

I had so much fun creating these adorable items for our labor day party. I used a Maya Road strawberry chipboard album for inspiration. First I created the strawberry invitation, next the soda bottle for our party favor, and then finally the mini album to store all my favorite photos from the party. I painted all the strawberries red, then glittered the tops with green glitter. I stamped "an invitation" on the one I used for the invitation, then wrote the rest of the info with a sharpie marker. I wrapped the bottle with a double sided paper after punching the scallops along the bottom. I then glued on the yellow ribbon and the red sequence, finally I added the word celebrate with letter stickers. For the album, I stamped circle journaling spots on the yellow side of the patterned paper, then cut them out and glued them to the back side of each strawberry, next i added the little square of patterned paper to the front side along with a little embellishment from American Crafts dear Lizzy line.
